Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running. If so, wait a short time (usually two or three minutes) to see if Outlook starts working again. If you can't choose any of the menu options, type inside an email message, calendar event, or contact, Outlook may have Outlook Fix Blog frozen.

Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one. This option could be useful if you constantly have to wait for Outlook to rebuild its data file when you restart. No matter how well written add-ins are Outlook Fix Blog (and even Outlook itself), there will always be the occasional Outlook problem that doesn’t seem to go away or may not be related to add-ins at all.
If your computer is running low on resources, Outlook will freeze up. If your antivirus software isn't up-to-date, Outlook may not function correctly. If the problem doesn't occur after you restart Outlook, one of the add-ins is likely the cause of the problem.

If you are having issues sending email, this might be due to validation issues with your Microsoft Account. We're aware of an issue where some users see the error message "Your message can't be displayed right now". Microsoft has released a Windows Hotfix file to remove the contacts folder synced by the Teams app. This fix will also lead to a reduction in the total number of contacts on your contact list. We will ensure that all information is retained and only contacts with matching information in all fields will be cleaned up. To check if you have received the fix, review your contact list to confirm duplicates have been removed.

Currently, you can't use Outlook on Windows to edit calendars that are shared with your Outlook.com account, even if you've reconnected your Outlook.com account to Outlook. Find solutions to common problems or get help from Outlook Fix Blog a support agent. This is a troubleshooting step to ascertain if the issue is with the PST file itself or with other aspects of Outlook. It's especially useful when Outlook crashes on startup or behaves erratically. Outlook's export feature allows you to create a copy of your data in a new PST file. This method is helpful when you can still access the data in the PST file but suspect corruption.
